The key focus of this laboratory-based post is on high-throughput screening of biomaterials with properties tailored to the requirements for applications in stem cell technologies. Key responsibilities include:
- the development of new coating, patterning and surface chemistries for microarrays,
- the application of the microarray format as a high-throughput screening tool to identify biological and chemical factors that influence cell behaviour (eg phenotypic control of bovine adult stem cells) and for high content analysis in cell-based assays and
- the design and analysis of smart biomaterials presenting optimised surface chemistry and topography.
This position is available for two years from July 1, 2007 on a full-time basis.
Salary will be offered on the Research Associate Level B scale, currently from AU$63,792 to AU $75,750.
